You can also convert your Starpoints® to over 25 major airlines frequent flyer programs, most on a 1 to 1 basis, and enjoy a 5,000-Starpoint bonus when you transfer 20,000 Starpoints® to miles. You also receive a 50% off voucher on your anniversary date for a future stay at participating Starwood hotels and resorts when you use your card.
Earning Starpoints couldn't be more simpler. You earn one Starpoint for every eligible $1 charged with the Card for every purchase. When you stay at a Starwood property, you earn three Starpoints for every eligible $1. When you do the math, that's two Starpoints you earn as a Starwood Preferred Guest, plus an additional Starpoint just for paying with the Card.
You will also receive these bonuses during your first year of membership, which is fee free:
- 1,000 bonus Starpoints upon first use of the Card for payment of an eligible stay at a Starwood hotel or resort
- Receive 500 bonus Starpoints for every additional eligible stay charged to the Card within the first 12 months of Cardmembership, up to a maximum of 10 stays (5,000 Starpoints)
The Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card offers many travel benefits to cardholders. Travel Accident Insurance provides up to $100,000 in accidental death and dismemberment insurance while traveling on a common carrier (plane, train, ship, or bus) when the entire fare has been charged to the Card. - Late Payment Fee: $15 on balances less than $100, $29 on balances of $100 to $1,000, and $35 on balances greater than $1,000.
